Slowing Down in a Hurry Up World

“Wow daddy, look at all the flowers!” “The world is charged with the grandeur of God. It will flame out, like shining from shook foil[1] but I nearly missed it! Namaqua daisies had transformed a P.O.S[2] into a Sanctuary of Praise and I nearly missed it. There was too much to do, too many problems to solve, too little time. Hurried, harried, hectic- that’s how we describe modern life. But a hurried life is not life at all; it is not the abundant life Jesus won for us!

Hurry lies behind much of the anger and frustration of modern life. Hurry prevents us from receiving love from the Father or giving it to his children. That’s why Jesus never hurried. If we are to follow Jesus, we must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from our lives— because, by definition, we can’t move faster than the one we are following”.[3]

Our September series, “Rescheduling Hectic, Restoring Harmony“, will help guide us to a life of peace and abundance. Commit to worshiping every Sunday, follow the Notes provided and this I promise: “out of you will flow streams of living water“, healing for a harried, hurried world.

God Bless,
Sean
