Dear friends, I am missing you terribly already and it has only been two weeks! This is just a short note to convey some important information and to ask for your prayers.
Firstly, Londiwe’s time with us is very nearly over. We will bid her farewell on the 14th November after the morning services. This is sad for us but there is something very exciting ahead for Londiwe and for the Church. She has been appointed as University Chaplain on a part-time basis (she will divide time between universities and the Tygerberg Circuit). What an important, exciting and, I’m sure, somewhat scary time to minister to students. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit would enable her to be the very presence of Christ and to make disciples of student leaders.
Secondly, next year Rev. Patric Engelbrecht will serve at Brackenfell and Windsor Park Societies and will also be our Circuit Superintendent. Please pray for him, his wife Sharon and their children, Faith, Eli and Zion as they prepare to move. Thirdly, as you will have seen in last week’s note, we are excited to welcome Rev. Vuyelwa Ntshinga-Yawa to DMC next year. We continue to pray for her, her husband Thanduxolo and her daughter Lethu.
Finally, Rev. Derick Ross, who is leading our Sunday Morning Services on the 16 October, Superannuates next year. We pray that he would enjoy a blessed and active retirement.
God Bless, Sean
