I wish every father in the DMC family a blessed Father’s
Day. I pray that you will always be an inspiration
to those who look up to you. I admire your
great faith in God and service you do for God.
This Father’s Day comes when we are in the middle
of a storm, as the COVID-19 infections are growing
exponentially. I believe the words of the disciples in
Mark 4 verse 38 “Teacher, don’t you care if we
drown?”, echo the feelings of many as difficult and
tragic situations threaten to overwhelm us.
As we face the reality of the world in which we live,
we call upon God to still the storms that surround us,
even as we pray for the strength to endure. Seeing
beyond this present storm to the hope on the horizon,
could give us the strength to keep moving forward.
It can also help us hold on to hope when
there doesn’t seem to be much cause to do so.
However, in the midst of the storms, there are signs
of grace at work in our world. I therefore encourage
you to pause and reflect on prayers that have
been answered and results of hard work that you
see.
God promises that his presence will give us peace
that will give us the strength and courage to deal
with all that life throws at us. May God grant us the
grace to endure the storms with hope.
Every blessing,
Vuyelwa.
