Minister’s Note 01 August 2021
Our journey through the Ephesians in the past
weeks have reminded us of the graces of hope,
peace and love that we receive and make us who
we are as children of God and as we are united
with Christ. Our union with Christ bears out in our
daily living and growing in the Spirit, living a life worthy
of our salvation.
Living a life worthy of salvation means that our lives
must reflect this calling in our practical day to day
living, by our love for one another. In humility, we
think more highly of others than we do ourselves. In
gentleness we are soft and tender to each other
even if anger is a more natural response. In patience
we are eager to wait for one another, being
slow to anger. We bear with one another by remembering
that we too are saved by grace alone,
recognizing the impact of our own weaknesses on
others. We are eager to maintain unity and peace,
working hard to repair and maintain broken relationships.
This is the call of the Gospel that the
church needs to hear and remember, now more
than ever, as we bring this Gospel to a world eager
for division, disunity, violence, prejudice and inequalities.
May God give you the grace to be empowered
and transformed as you live a life worthy of being in
union with Christ.
