MINISTER’S NOTE 4 FEBRUARY 2024
Isn’t it wonderful to know that God meets us at our
point of need, comforting, reassuring, and transforming
us, as we hear about how Jesus healed
those he encountered? This gives us a vision of a
God who is willing to go out of God’s way to meet
us where we are to draw humanity into the reign of
God. The focus is wider than the individual, but on
everyone to know God’s grace.
Can you imagine how different our world would be
if everyone were to work for the greater good of all,
and willing to meet others at their point of need?
How different might our world be if we were more
willing to serve and restore others irrespective of
how different they are from us, rather than expecting
them to change to become like us?
As we celebrate that God meets us where we are
and offers us healing and restoration, we also need
to become those who sacrifice ourselves in favour
of the wholeness, justice and goodness of others
and work for the greater good that reaches beyond
private interest, offering human solidarity.
May your journey with Christ lead you deeper into
God’s grace and love as we experience God working
in us and through us even more.
