“Vote with your hopes and not your fears!”
This was the slogan of one of the political parties in
our first democratic elections in 1994. It was very
catching because it reminded all of us how easily
we allow fear to rule our lives, closing out everything
else that is good, and a source of hope and faith.
Small wonder therefore that one of the first resurrection
encounters between the risen Lord and his disciples,
is to deal with their fear, and to empower
them to live beyond their fear – a life of resurrection
faith!
“Let’s explore how this happens for them and for us
on Sunday.”
