Minister’s Note 9 JUNE
Today, we gather in joy and thanksgiving for the sacred
occasion of baptism. This is a momentous day, a day of
new beginnings and divine promises. As we witness this
holy sacrament, we are reminded of the grace and love
of God who welcomes us into His family with open arms.
As we celebrate this baptism, let us remember that we
are all children of God, bound by God’s love and mercy.
We are part of a family that transcends physical families
and geographical boundaries, a family that supports,
nurtures, and loves unconditionally, and is united in faith,
love, and a common purpose. Let us rejoice in the
knowledge that through baptism, we are forever connected
to God and to each other. Let us commit to living
out our faith, to being the hands and feet of Christ in the
world, and to loving our neighbours as ourselves.
May this baptism be a reminder of God’s everlasting love
and grace, as God accepts and loves each person as a
unique individual. May it inspire us to live our lives in service
and gratitude, reflecting the love of Christ in all we
do.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we
celebrate this baptism and welcome baby Miles into
God’s family.
