Ministers Note 3 November 2024
Today we honour the lives of those who
have gone before us in faith as we celebrate
All Saints Sunday.
Ordinary people who followed an extraordinary
God inspired us through their
example and passed down to us a legacy
that shows us what it means to love deeply and live faithfully.
They showed us how to pray when life is uncertain,
to trust when we can’t see the way, and to seek God
even in life’s storms. Their lives remind us that God
doesn’t ask for perfection – just a willing heart.
We have been loved through our faults and failings, and
have been shown how to forgive, how to serve, and how
to embrace each person with grace. Now it’s our turn to
continue that legacy. Each act of kindness, each moment
of forgiveness, each choice to put others first – it all
adds to the tapestry of faith woven through generations.
As we walk this journey, let’s remember the ones who
have shown us the way, knowing that we’re carrying
forward a legacy of love that can impact others just as it
impacted us. Their journey reminds us that we’re never
alone, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses cheering
us on.
Keep leaning into this legacy of love. Each act, no matter
how small, is part of a beautiful, bigger picture. And
God, who is love Himself, walks with you every step of the
way.
Blessings,
Vuyelwa.
