Welcome to the Lenten Season – 2025
As we enter this sacred season of
Lent, we embark on a journey of reflection,
renewal, and transformation. Lent is
often seen as a time of preparation—a
path leading us to the cross and ultimately to the joy of
resurrection. But what about everything in between?
This year, our Lenten preaching series, Everything in Between:
meeting God in the midst of extremes, invites us to
dwell in the messy, uncertain, and often challenging middle
spaces of life. Guided by the Gospel of Luke, we will
explore familiar yet thought-provoking stories that challenge
our tendency to see the world in simple binaries.
Week by week, we will journey through themes like
Stranger and Neighbour, Faith and Works, Rest and
Growth, Lost and Found, and Righteousness and Mercy.
These pairings may seem like opposites, but through Scripture,
we will uncover the nuance and complexity that
exist between them. God is present not just at the extremes,
but in the in-between spaces where faith is
stretched, assumptions are questioned, and transformation
takes root.
Lent is an opportunity to embrace this journey with faith
and intention. As we walk together through these weeks,
let us open our hearts to the unexpected ways in which
God meets us—not just at the beginning or the end, but
in every step along the way.
