Minister’s Note 5 October 2025
It is with deep joy that I greet you on this first Sunday
back after my two months of leave. The time
away has been a gift of rest and renewal, allowing
me space to reflect, pray, and listen more closely
to God. I return refreshed and deeply grateful, not
only for the opportunity to pause, but also for the
knowledge that our life together in Christ continues
to flourish through each of you.
Our theme this Sunday, “Growing Faith in the Ordinary,”
feels especially fitting as I return. In Luke 17,
the disciples cry out, “Increase our faith!” Jesus reminds
them—and us—that even the smallest measure
of faith, like a mustard seed, is powerful when
entrusted to God. It is not in the spectacular moments
alone, but in the everyday rhythms of obedience,
prayer, and trust that our faith quietly grows.
Psalm 37 encourages us to trust in the Lord and do
good, delight in the Lord, and wait patiently. These
words are both comfort and challenge, especially
in uncertain times. They remind us that our faith
journey is not about striving for more, but about
resting in God’s steadfast presence and living faithfully
where we are planted.
As we gather again in worship, I look forward to
walking this path of growing faith with you. May our
time together this season be marked by trust, joy,
and renewed delight in the Lord. May God’s
peace steady your hearts, Christ’s love surround
your days, and the Spirit’s joy renew your strength.
