MINISTER’S NOTE 19 OCTOBER 2025
Have you ever found yourself praying for something
for a long time – and wondering if God is really listening?
I think we all have. There are seasons when
prayer feels easy and full of hope, and others when
the words come slowly, or not at all.
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us that we
should always pray and not give up. He tells the
story of a woman who simply refuses to stop asking
for justice. Her persistence isn’t about nagging; it’s
about trust – trust that what she seeks is worth holding
onto.
That’s what prayer is like. It’s not about getting
quick answers, but about staying close to God,
even when we can’t yet see what He’s doing.
When we keep praying, something shifts inside us.
Our hearts soften. Our hope stretches. Our faith
grows roots.
As we prepare for our Spring Prayer Walk, I invite
you to think of it as a symbol of this kind of faith –
one step at a time, together, trusting that God
walks with us.
So wherever you are this week – whether your prayers
are full of words or silence – keep praying and
keep trusting. God hears you. He hasn’t forgotten.
And He’s closer than you think.
