MINISTER’S NOTE 18 JANUARY 2026
As we begin a new year together, I want to extend
my warmest wishes to each one of you. May this
year be a year of God’s gentle presence, renewed
hope, and deep assurance that you are held in
grace. It is fitting that our Covenant Service is at the
beginning of the year because this service reminds
us that our life with God begins not with our promises,
but with God’s faithfulness. We are reminded
that God’s love remains steady, even when our
lives feel uncertain.
The theme for today, Rooted in Grace: A Covenant
for Faithful Living, invites us into the year ahead with
honesty and hope. None of us can predict what
lies ahead. There will be moments of joy and moments
of challenge, times of clarity and times of
waiting. Yet in all of it, God’s invitation remains the
same: to stay rooted, to return often, and to trust
God for the fruit that will come in time.
My prayer for you is that you may be deeply rooted
in grace, strengthened for faithful living, and assured
that God walks with you every step of the
way. May the God who calls you be your anchor,
the grace of Christ be your strength, and the Spirit
guide you in faithful living, now and throughout the
year ahead.
Blessings,
Vuyelwa.
