TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD – WHEN I CANNOT SEE
There are seasons in life when we simply cannot see
clearly. The future feels uncertain. Questions linger. Circumstances
do not make sense. In those moments we
may quietly wonder where God is and what God might
be doing.
This Sunday we listen to the story of a man who was born
blind. His life had been defined by limitation and misunderstanding.
Yet when Jesus meets him, the story begins
to change. Jesus does not focus on blame or explanations.
Instead, he brings light, healing, dignity and new
possibility.
What is striking about the story is that sight unfolds gradually.
The man receives his physical sight, but his spiritual
understanding grows step by step as he encounters Jesus
more deeply. By the end of the story he sees clearly who
Jesus is and responds in faith.
There is good news for us in that journey. Faith does not
require that we always see the whole picture. Often God
leads us one step at a time. Even when our understanding
is incomplete, Christ is present, guiding, restoring, and
opening our eyes in new ways, even through valleys
where the path is not fully visible.
So, if you find yourself in a season where things feel unclear,
take heart. God is not absent in those moments.
Sometimes it is precisely there, in the places where we
cannot yet see, that God’s light begins to break through.
And that is very good news for the journey of Lent.
