MINISTER’S NOTE 29 MARCH 2026
WHO IS THIS? The Good News We Didn’t Expect
As we gather on this Palm Sunday, we join the voices of
those who lined the streets of Jerusalem, crying out,
“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the
Lord!” It is a moment filled with hope, expectation, and
longing for something good. Yet, in the midst of the celebration,
a question rises: “Who is this?” It is a question that
echoes through the ages and finds its way into our own
hearts today.
We come into this Holy Week carrying many things – joys
and burdens, certainty and questions, faith and doubt.
And still, Jesus comes. Not with force or spectacle, but in
gentleness and humility. He comes to meet us where we
are.
The good news is that God draws near not to overwhelm
us, but to walk with us. Even when life feels uncertain or
unsettled, Christ is present, bringing a peace that the
world cannot give.
As we journey through this sacred week, may we remain
open to encountering Jesus more deeply. May we allow
Him to challenge, to comfort, and to transform us. And
may our question, “Who is this?” lead us not only to understanding,
but to renewed trust.
May you know the presence of Christ with you gently,
faithfully, and fully.
Blessings, Vuyelwa.
