MINISTER’S NOTE 5 APRIL 2026
Rejoice! Christ is risen!
Perhaps today finds you holding a mixture of things – moments
of joy, and yet a quiet awareness of how uncertain
the world can feel. The women who went to the
tomb that resurrection morning, carried something similar.
They came with heavy hearts, expecting things to
remain as they were. But instead, the ground beneath
them shifted. The stone was rolled away. And suddenly,
everything they thought was final… wasn’t.
Matthew tells us they ran away with fear and great joy.
That may be closer to your experience than you realise.
Easter meets you right where life feels fragile and uncertain.
It invites you to consider this: what if what feels fixed
is not final? What if God is already at work in places that
seem closed, or settled, or beyond change? The resurrection
is God’s declaration that what we think is final is
not final. That hope is not misplaced.
Today we are invited not just to remember this story, but
to live it, to trust that even in a shaking world, God is
bringing new life, new possibilities and new beginnings.
You are invited to take a small step into that promise – to
trust that even in a shifting world, new life is possible, and
God is nearer than you think. The risen Christ is gently
drawing near to you, right where you are – holding you,
steadying you, and leading you, one step at a time, into
life.
